So sad to hear of Bob's passing. So many fond memories of caddying for Bob in golf tournaments as a young kid to actually sharing many rounds of golf with Bob during the years. More importantly, Bob was such a friendly, kind person who always had a smile and something good to say about everyone. His work in the community and trying to promote Tripoli as a great place to live will not be forgotten. Betty...our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. He will truly be missed.

Bob gave back so much to Tripoli—a great legacy!

I’ll remember playing bingo with mom, Betty, and Bob, and the rest of the gang down at the town hall.

You’re in our prayers, Betty and family.

Betty: When Kari was very small, and you were our neighbor, I remember how you and Bob always gave her and Matt Moeller cookies. At her graduation you and Bob informed me of a time you came home and found them sitting in your empty house with the half-empty cookie jar between them. You said you didn't tell us about it because you were "afraid we would punish them." That is the kind of neighbors you were, and it has never been forgotten by Kari or by us. Bob meant a great deal to us, but also to the town. He was a true pillar of Tripoli, as he carried all of the town history in his head, and his institutional memory is not replaceable. He will be missed now and forever.

To Betty & family, We are so saddened by the news of Bob’s passing. What a wonderful and kind man. My last conversation with Bob was when our church choir sang at the home. And, as usual, we shared our last words about our beloved Cubs. Please pass on our thoughts and prayers to all of Bob’s family. The Tripoli community has lost a great supporter of this place we now call “hone”????
